Our consultants have over 30+ years previous “on the job” practical construction experience and have worked in more than one construction discipline. This not only means we are old (!), but we bring with us years of knowledge seeing how things are done well, and how things are done incorrectly. We have seen the shortcuts being made during normal workdays. We have watched the inspections happen and the deficiencies being listed on inspection forms.

We have also worked on the other side of the coin…as consultants and inspectors. This gave us an opportunity to watch many other contractors in action (or inaction) and see how they do things…correctly and incorrectly.

Monty Lang – Founder and President of Protecto, has been heavily involved in the Construction and Real Estate businesses since 1989. Starting in Vancouver, Canada as an Labourer, Monty worked extensively in construction as a Red Seal Certified Journeyman from 1989 until 2006, working for various construction businesses, mostly focusing on roofing and waterproofing. In 2006, Monty switched to Consulting and Inspecting, owning and running one of Vancouver’s premier Consulting & Inspection firms for 16 years before selling the business and moving to the Costa Del Sol.

Now Protecto is taking years of experience and making it available for you to tap into, as a resource for when you are looking for a home to purchase, have one that is being worked on, or have one sitting vacant that needs monitoring.
